Christian Chladek, Lois Lammerhuber, Christian Schörg, Hubert Hochwarter
Under the benevolent patronage of Director Sonja Happenhofer and creatively guided by Hubert Hochwarter, the second Photo Academy began on 31 January 2023 at the BG and BRG Baden Frauengasse. It was organised by the Foto Festival in Baden and the photographer Christian Schörg. The students were given time off from class and spent the whole day in Baden taking pictures with the best and most expensive Leica cameras in the world. The theme: trees and tree faces. Inspired by the head of the Leica Academy Christian Chladek and the photographers Christian and Gregor Schörg, the search for motifs ended at the Schörg photo studio in Traiskirchen.
The second day was dedicated to studio portrait photography and especially to the postproduction of the students‘ pictures. Christian Schörg’s studio was filled with youthful creativity, esprit and energy. A magical afternoon, whose attitude to life was summed up by Hubert Hochwarter: „It’s like test-driving a Ferrari …“.
The best works will be awarded prizes on 22 March.
The prize? A Leica, of course! What else?
