Festival La Gacilly-Baden Photo on Google Earth!

A Google Earth satellite flew over the festival last summer and captured a rocket launch. But not just any rocket launch – it was Alfred Seiland’s photograph of astronaut Ulf Merbold, which he took in 1997 as the space shuttle Atlantis was about to launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The photograph was part of the exhibition Alfred Seiland – Kluge Köpfe in the Kaiserhausgarten as part of the La Gacilly-Baden Photo 2025 festival. As one of the larger images at the festival, it can even be seen on Google Earth satellite photos.
