“The La Gacilly-Baden Photo Festival is a very special opportunity for professional photographers from Lower Austria to showcase their work year after year, exploring the theme set by festival director Lois Lammerhuber,” summarizes photographer and guild master Christian Schörg about the collaboration with the La Gacilly-Baden Photo Festival since its very first year.

“This year, we are looking for works by professional photographers from Lower Austria that capture the theme I Love Coffee, I Love Tea in an inspiring way,” adds Lammerhuber.

Coffee and tea are more than just beverages – they are moments, moods, and stories waiting to be captured. The I Love Coffee, I Love Tea photo contest invites all photographers from Lower Austria to showcase their creativity and celebrate the rituals, culture, and emotions surrounding these beloved drinks. From the morning coffee that starts the day to the calming afternoon tea shared with friends, every image tells its own story. We are looking for diverse perspectives: the steam rising from a cup, the hands preparing the drink, cozy corners where it is enjoyed, or lively cafés that bring people together. Whether abstract, candid, or staged, the images should convey warmth, connection, and the personal significance of coffee and tea in everyday life. Winners will be selected based on creativity, expressiveness, and originality.

For the festival, Birgitte Averdung-Häfner, Birgit Enge, Bernd Gassner, Roman Graggo, Brigitte & Stephan Huger, Friedrich Jansenberger, Lois Lammerhuber, Rolf Nachbar and Uli Staiger have edited works by the following photographers: Rene Binder, Peter Eichstaedt, Ewald Fohringer, Thomas Gobauer, Susanne Grill, Christian Handl, Marius Höfinger, Philipp Monihart, Natascha Rössle, Barbara Schmeiser, Christian Schörg, Gregor Schörg, Barbora Vavro Gruber, Michaela Vondruska and Marcella Wallner.

Baden looks back on a long tradition of coffeehouse culture, which today is enriched by new influences – from the classic melange to the strong ristretto. Exquisite brewed beverages such as specialty teas also have their firm place here. Christian Schörg portrayed several personalties who are responsible for this refined enjoyment. His images make the passion and craftsmanship behind every cup visible and invite you to discover the world of indulgence: Josef Enderlin, Mario Kreiker, Axel Nemetz, Manfred Schneider, Michael Straßecker and Florian Trahbüchler.
