TIM FLACH: MORE THAN HUMANS

The British photographer has become world-famous for taking extraordinarily humanoid pictures of animals. His work More Than Humanscaptures the emotions of wild creatures in intense close-ups. The intimate animal portraits throw light on the similarities of animal gestures and facial expressions with our own. Photographing animals on a set – instead of in their natural habitat – holds peculiar challenges. “You can never predict the mood of an animal,” explains Flach. “So you have to plan beforehand to get what you want to achieve.”
