GISELA KAYSER: GLYPHOSATE & CO or AN AGRICULTURE OF POISONS

The Director of the Willy Brandt House in Berlin introduces the work of Argentinian photographer Pablo Piovano, a disturbing testimony to the dark side of our lifestyle. Mankind is currently taking part in one of the largest experiments worldwide and it does so against its will. Glyphosate is the world’s best-selling herbicide. It is ubiquitous in our food chain. It reaches the human organism mainly via the import of genetically modified, glyphosate-resistant, animal feed from Argentina. Piovano shows us images full of human suffering and leaves no room for doubt that this is caused by humans, by poison produced by corporations like Monsanto, Bayer or Dow Chemical. Pablo Piovano’s conclusion: “Those who control food control our health.”
