Artist Talk „The Photo Book“

Author, editor and photographer Freddy Langer talks about his decade-long love affair with the photobook.

Freddy Langer studied American studies, film and art history in Frankfurt and the United States before becoming editor of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. He heads the travel section and is responsible for photography in the feature section. Freddy is the author of numerous books on both subjects. In his spare time, he photographs celebrities with sleeping masks.

Lois Lammerhuber

Lois Lammerhuber is a photographer and publisher. He has received numerous awards for his photos, including the „Graphis Photo Award“ three times for the best reportage of the year worldwide. Lammerhuber has been a member of the Art Directors Club New York since 1994. In 2009, together with his wife Silvia Lammerhuber, he founded the publishing house Edition Lammerhuber, which has since received over 200 awards, including from the Art Directors Club New York and the German Photo Book Award. In 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2023, Edition Lammerhuber was named best photo book publisher in Europe by the Federation of European Photographers (FEP).

Michael Pollaschak is an experienced marketing, sales and e-commerce expert. Since May 2021, he has been working as Director of Marketing, Sales & E-Commerce at CEWE Fotovertriebsgesellschaft in Vienna, where he is part of the extended management board and an authorised signatory. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic direction together with the company management and leads a team of around 40 employees. His main responsibilities include developing marketing, e-commerce and sales strategies, as well as building the CEWE brand in Austria.
