MICHAEL NICHOLS: WILD
“Nick” Nichols has a reputation as the wild guy of photography, some call him the “Indiana Jones of photo-journalism”. His colleagues see him unanimously as someone who has fundamentally changed animal photography through his work. In addition, his iconographic pictures for National Geographichave helped turn a young researcher of chimpanzee behaviour in Tanzania into famous Jane Goodall, one of the major environmentalists of our times.
