Everyone is talking about ‘artificial intelligence’ and image generators. In this talk, you will learn all about this exciting topic from recognised experts.

Uli Staiger is a well-known digital artist. He has been involved in digital image processing since his studies. Today, he specialises in computer-generated imagery. His unusual perspective on everyday things and photographing individual parts of images independently of each other in order to then combine them into a new whole is now one of his favourite disciplines.

‘AI is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it challenges traditional design methods such as photography and cgi, but on the other, it provides completely new approaches, both commercially and artistically. This means that it makes sense to use this technology, but it is essential to precisely categorise what it is allowed to do, where it can be helpful, but also where it can be counterproductive.’

Christoph Künne is co-founder, editor-in-chief and publisher of the magazine DOCMA. The cultural studies graduate is passionate about taking portraits and has been working with Photoshop since 1991. DOCMA has defined itself as the magazine for artificial intelligence and creative image editing since 2023. Künne is regarded as THE image AI expert in the German-speaking world.

‘Anyone who doesn’t look at the possibilities of generative AI for texts and images in detail now will feel left behind in the near future. It’s no longer a question of whether we want it or how we feel about it. It’s about using it as sensibly as possible for our purposes.’

Christian Schörg is a practising photographer in Baden and master of the Lower Austrian professional photography guild. As guild master, he has an overview of current developments in professional photography in general and can report on the legal implications of the topic.
