The Photographers of the Festival 2019

Celebration – 50 Years of Rosarium

The Rosarium in Doblhoffpark is Austria’s largest rose garden. 30,000 rose bushes of more than 800 varieties flourish on 75,000 m². They have fanciful names like Goldmarie and Kaiserin Elisabeth. The Doblhoffpark stretches across more than 9 hectares and is one of the most popular recreational spaces in Baden. Since 2018 it hosts the Festival La Gacilly-Baden Photo for four summer months. In 2019 the Rosarium celebrates its 50th anniversary. To honour this event, every photographer participating in the festival will photograph one rose on 14 June 2019. Each of them in his or her unique style. Two days later, at the festive opening of the festival on 16 June, the Rosarium “will come to town”. The pictures will be mounted on the town hall as the exhibition opens.
